The Stanford-Tsinghua Exchange Program (STEP) between Tsinghua’s School of Economics and Management and the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) was launched in 2006. The program provides cross-cultural learning opportunities for MBA students at the two universities.
In the academic year 2007-08, twenty students from Tsinghua will visit Stanford in January 2008 for one week. GSB students will pay a visit to Tsinghua in March 2008. Under the program, the main activities include case studies, visits to local businesses, and social activities.
At the beginning of the program, pair linkages between students of both universities who have similar research interests were built so that they could discuss cases in small groups. The coordinators of both universities have also established an online platform for communication and document sharing.
The three-year program provides an intercultural learning environment for the students and benefits them in their future careers.
